Electric winches with nylon rope can be installed on many vehicles and complete towing work. Can nylon rope electric winches manufactured by Hebei Shengyu Hoisting be used for vertical lifting?

Electric winches with nylon rope

Electric winches with nylon rope are not recommended for direct vertical lifting of heavy loads and are prohibited from being used as lifting slings under most working conditions. The winch is originally designed mainly for vehicle self-rescue and towing, rather than hoisting equipment. Nylon rope features great flexibility and high elongation. Shock bouncing is likely to occur during vertical lifting, which may easily cause the load to fall. Besides, nylon fibers have poor resistance to abrasion and extrusion. Cutting by sharp edges or extrusion will lead to rapid rope breakage.

If vertical hoisting is required, first check the equipment nameplate to confirm that the winch has hoisting qualification and the supporting nylon rope holds a formal inspection certificate for lifting slings. A fall prevention locking device must be installed for operation. Carrying personnel and overloading are strictly prohibited, and sharp edges shall be avoided. Ordinary traction-type electric winches with nylon rope are forbidden for vertical hoisting. Unauthorized use poses major safety hazards and fails to comply with hoisting safety regulations.

Hebei Shengyu electric winches with nylon rope are about 90% similar in appearance and dimension to standard electric winches. They adopt both wired and wireless control, fitted with pure copper motors to ensure stable voltage. Hebei Shengyu supports customization of various voltages.
