Baiyi factory’s HSZ type 1-ton manual chain hoist, also known as a gear-type manual lifting hoist, has a rated lifting capacity of 1000 kg. It is a light-duty lifting device that uses manual chain pulling to lift heavy objects. It features a self-locking brake and is suitable for scenarios without power supply, in confined spaces, and requiring precise lifting. It consists of a lifting chain, manual chain, brake, upper and lower hooks, and outer casing.
HSZ type 1-ton manual chain hoist produced by Hebei Baiyi Lifting Equipment Machinery Factory is a portable manual lifting device with a rated load of 1T that strictly conforms to national industry standards. During the lifting process, the device relies on symmetrical two-stage spur gear transmission to easily achieve labor-saving and efficient lifting of heavy objects. It does not require external power or other power sources and can be adapted to various power-free and outdoor scenarios. It is a commonly used small lifting tool in industrial, infrastructure, and manufacturing fields.

4. Standard Operating Procedures
1. Pre-use Inspection:
Check for broken, kinked, or severely rusted chains; ensure the hook is intact and free from deformation, and the safety catch is in good working order. All parts should function normally; the load should be ≤1000kg.
2. Correct Installation and Lifting:
The hook must be suspended from a reliable support point. The load should be placed on the center load-bearing point of the hook; do not overload. The operator must stand on the same plane as the hand chain wheel and pull the hand chain clockwise at a uniform speed to keep the load rising steadily. When the load is suspended, the brake will automatically lock; you can stop at this point. Workers must not stand or walk under the load. When lowering, pull the hand chain counter clock wise at a uniform speed; the load will descend slowly.
3. Operation Completion:
After completing the lifting operation, remove the hook, clean the chain and casing, apply rust-preventive oil, and store in a dry, ventilated place.
5. Safety Precautions
1. Overloading is strictly prohibited: For HSZ type 1-ton manual chain hoist Under no circumstances should the rated load be exceeded.
2. Oblique lifting/horizontal pulling is strictly prohibited: HSZ type 1-ton manual chain hoist’s chain must be vertical.
3. Improper hanging is strictly prohibited: The lower hook must not be hooked back into the chain; the heavy object must be hung at the bottom center of the hook.
4. If chain damage, brake failure, or transmission jamming occurs, stop use immediately for repair.
5. Non-manual driving is strictly prohibited: Do not forcibly drive the chain with motors, wrenches, etc.
6. Regular maintenance: Apply lubricating oil to the transmission chain monthly, and perform load and brake tests every six months.
6. FAQ
Q1: What if the chain won't move when manually operated for HSZ type 1-ton manual chain hoist?
• Check for overloading, chain kinking/jamming, obstruction by heavy objects, brake lock-up, or insufficient gear lubrication.
Q2: What if the heavy brake fails during descent?
Check for worn friction plates, faulty ratchet springs, stuck ratchet, or excessive chain lubrication.
Q3: What should I do if the chain jumps/comes off track?
This may be due to angled lifting, chain twisting, worn sprockets, or the operation not being on the same plane. Immediately stop operation, straighten the chain, and ensure vertical lifting.
