Q1: Which is better, webbing sling or steel wire rope?

A: There is no absolute 'better', only 'more suitable'. Ribbon straps are lighter, more protective of loads, and easier to operate, but they are afraid of cutting and high temperatures; Steel wire rope is more wear-resistant and heat-resistant, but it is bulky, prone to damage loads, and prone to knotting.
